Terms and Conditions

Last updated 21 September 2026

1. Who we are

Brightgrid Homes ("we", "us") is BRIGHTGRIDHOMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17459756), registered office 76 Scott Road, Grays, England, RM16 4EJ. Contact: [email protected], 07447 871187.

2. Our services

We design and configure home-automation systems (Home Assistant, smart lighting, heating and security control) and integrate a home's existing solar PV, battery storage, EV charger and smart-meter equipment into that system for monitoring and control. We do not install solar panels, batteries or any new electrical circuits — that work, where needed, is carried out by a separately engaged, appropriately certified electrician/installer, not by us.

3. Quotations

3.1 Quotations, including the website's instant estimate, are preliminary guides. A formal quotation is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3.2 A quotation is not a contract; the contract is formed when both parties sign a Service and Installation Agreement, which sets out exactly what is and isn't in scope.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment terms are set out in the individual Service and Installation Agreement for each job.

4.2 We accept bank transfer or card. Prices include VAT where applicable.

5. Your right to cancel

If you buy away from our premises (e.g. we visit your home to sign the contract), you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — see your Service and Installation Agreement for details.

6. Warranties

Our configuration/workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Equipment we supply (hubs, sensors, smart switches) carries the manufacturer's own warranty, which we pass on to you. Any existing solar/battery/EV/electrical equipment we integrate with remains under its own original installer's warranty and certification — not ours.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our liability is limited as set out in your Service and Installation Agreement, and never extends to equipment or installation work outside our scope (see clause 2).

8. Data protection

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR / the Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact [email protected] and we will aim to resolve it within 5 working days.

10. Governing law

England and Wales.
